"And this is the campus of the school." The translator was very quick to tell you exactly what the American had said. "Does she understand?"
"Yes, she does. Thank you." The Japanese man who stood in front of you bowed slightly to signify his manner and politeness.
"If there's no questions, you guys can tour around the school under permit," the American's blue eyes flashed at you one last time before bending down to your height. "I'm Alfred F. Jones, the hero! You can just call me Al, okay?"
You nodded, pretending to understand. Alfred then said something to the Japanese translator in English. Kiku, the translator then began walking away from Alfred.
"Let's go this way, shall we?" The two of you communicated in Japanese, with no other ways to know one another.
"Yes sir."
"There's no need to be so polite here. In America, everyone is very carefree and relaxed. There is no such thing as bowing and addressing people formally." You started to take mental notes of what Kiku said. "I'll teach you some English, it's not a problem."
You tug at Kiku's sleeve. "How long have you been here, Kiku?"
"Fifteen years," he replied in English, causing you to tilt your head in confusion. "That means fifteen in English." He repeated in Japanese for you to comprehend.
"Are you liking the surrounding so far, (Name)?"
"I am, everything is very neat and people take good care of me. And I love it because you are here to teach me new things too!" Kiku blushed at your kind words.
"T-There is no need for you to say such things. It is only my duty to help a fellow student."
You spent the next few hours on the rooftop with Kiku, talking about Japan, America, and learning English.
"I remember what Arthur used to teach me." Kiku began.
"Who's that?" You asked.
"He's a good friend of mine," Kiku picked up a pen in hand, holding it out to you. "This is a pen."
"This is a pen." You repeated after the black haired man.
"It's not much of a useful phrase, but it's a start to learning English." You nodded happily.
It was nice having Kiku as your English tutor.
...
You spent the next few months learning English with Kiku that your skills have improved from zero to ninety.
The only thing you ever spoke now was English, even with Kiku. And you were no longer afraid of Alfred F. Jones, or the hero, as he would call himself.
"Hahahaha! You're totally right! Dude, you're hilarious!" Alfred's voice rang out in the cafeteria ground. You were sitting with him, as Kiku tagged along.
"I never even realized that those creatures have such incredible abilities. You amaze me, (Name)." Kiku pushed his book closed.
"Thanks, Kiku." You blushed a tiny tint of red as Alfred caught sight of your cheeks growing pink.
"Whoa whoa! Are you guys dating, or is (Name) sick?"
"What! You're sick, (Name)? Perhaps consulting a doctor would be alright, yes?" Kiku smacked his book onto the table.
"I get it," Alfred snapped his finger. "(Name) must be lovesick!"
"W-W-What are you saying, Alfred?!" Your cheeks grow even brighter.
"That just means that you are! The hero sees everything! Now, who is it?"
Kiku looked disappointed to the side, knowing that it probably wasn't him who has won her heart.
You whispered who it was to Alfred, hoping he'd keep a secret.
"That boring dull guy!?" Alfred eyed you down. "No way! You're lying!"
Alfred got up in his seat.
"(Name) likes Kiku!" Alfred began running and shouting and laughing.
You were more than afraid he was going to choke on his saliva.
Kiku looked away, then back at you, catching your gaze. "Is that true?"
You nodded shyly.
"Well, just to let you know," Kiku tilted your chin by his fingers. "I love you too." He placed his delicate lips on yours.
"Does that mean that I have to take responsibilities, Kiku?"
"Yes, that does mean so." Kiku looked away.
"But what if I'm willing to take them?" You were the one to tilt his chin this time.
"Then so be it." You leaned in to place your lips on his as the cafeteria began shouting and screaming - all over again.
Kiku was now a lover, not just an English tutor. He not only translated English, but translated love to a whole other level.

Japan x Reader -Until You Do-
It would have been just better if you disappeared. No one noticed you. No one would miss you.
You took a deep breath and looked down at the river below. There was a thin sheet of ice covering the surface, but you knew that underneath, the waters were freezing and cold enough to send your body into a state of shock. Either you would drown or die of hypothermia if the currents didn’t drag you under.
This is it, you thought. This is the one right thing that I can do in my pitiful life. Goodbye, no one.
Then, without another second to hesitation, you closed your eyes and took your first step into the open air.
You had prepared for the w

Japan x Reader: Getto Daze
You were getting ready to go to the mall with one of your school friends, [f/n]. Since this is a reader-insert story, of course we have to describe what you're wearing in great detail. Just as in most other times when you went out in public, your outfit had a character theme- a kind of casual cosplay. And as usual, you figured [f/n] wouldn't be too happy about it... But hey, at least you weren't going out as a full-fledged, hardcore cosplay! She really hated that. That was why going places with Kiku was so awesome... But after he had arrived, you barely did anything with the other girls anymore, so you figured that this little Kiku-free excur
