Today was the day.
The day that you'd be parting from your daughter and ex-husband.
He said he found a new love, and had apparently lost interest for you. You couldn't deny you still loved him, but since he was going to dump you - you had no choice.
Whatever then.
But worst of all is the fact that you'll be leaving your daughter behind. You didn't have a stable income as your ex-husband did. He worked as an attorney and it was hard to compete.
You felt a tug at your sleeve as you looked down to face your child's blank eyes.
"Amelie, you'll be staying here with daddy now - okay?" You bended down to pat her head, smiling at her. Amelie only returned the smile before giving you a small peck on the cheek and running back off to the living room, probably to her box of toys.
You had to wait until he came home with that chick before you could leave.
You heard faint giggles as the door clicked open.
He was drunk as always.
"I'll leaving now." You picked up the bag of luggages before walking out the door, not sparing him another glance.
"Bye, Miss (Name)~" The German's new girlfriend sang.
Of course she'd be happy.
...
You only sat down on your bed in the rusty old apartment, face hidden in your palm - trying hard not to cry. You had to beg the landlord several times for this apartment for it was your only option.
You couldn't go back to your parents. They were the ones who objected to this marriage; and the end only proved them right.
You were trying hard to not remember.
Remember all the memories that you had with the blond.
But they all splattered.
You remember the day when he told you he had lost interest in you. And that he had found someone now. Feliciana, was it? You couldn't remember anymore.
Tears began dripping at the sound of sirens. It only brought you memories of when Amelie was born.
Forget that.
Forget him.
You fell backwards onto the bed, eyes locked onto the white ceiling.
What was he... doing now?
Forget that.
Forget him.
...
The next morning, you woke up to the ring of your alarm.
It was only ten in the morning.
Oh wait.
Appointment at the lawyer's office with Ludwig.
And of course he would bring Feliciana.
That annoying son of a female dog.
You only sighed, losing your thoughts about them as you made your way into the bathroom, casual clothing in hand - hoping that today would be easy.
"Guten morgen, (Name)." Ludwig's stern voice greeted you as you stepped into the law office.
"Y-Yeah. Hi, Ludwig." You faked a small smile before taking the water that he offered. "Thanks." You followed him into the meeting room.
"..."
"..."
"So." The two of you said at the same time.
"You first." Ludwig was being polite. And you were uncomfortable.
"Ludwig, I just want to know..." You hesitated to continue. "Do you really want to do this?"
He didn't answer.
"Do you really want to be with Feliciana, and-" You stopped there, and began to cry.
Truth was.
You didn't want to divorce him.
"Ich- I-I..." Ludwig was stuttering countless.
You only grabbed the pen off his desk, signing the document on his table. "That was enough." You faked a smile before walking out of the law firm.
...
That evening while you were fixing some noodles in the kitchen, the doorbell rang.
You only ran to get it, hoping to end the conversation as soon as possible so your food wouldn't burn.
"H- Ludwig...?" The German was now standing by your door, panting as if he just ran a hundred laps around the courtyard.
"I-I don't want to lose you either... I just sat in my office pondering for hours thinking. I said to myself... If I lose you now, where would I ever find you again?" Ludwig stepped in uninvited, pulling you into his embrace. "Ich liebe dich, (Name). And it took me so long to realize. It took me this long and I'm sorry..."
"F-Feliciana..." The brown haired figure only stood tall at your door, brows quarreled together.
"I hate you, Ludwig! You said you'd be there for me when I can't tie my shoelaces!" Feliciana's eyes began to frail in the air.
"I'm sorry, Feliciana. It's just that you deserve better." Feliciana stopped flailing her arms. "And maybe you need video tutorials on how to tie your shoelaces. Not me." Ludwig only laughed before closing the door on her.
You still hear her cries behind the wooden door.
But that didn't matter.
Because you felt yourself pushed to the wall and cornered helplessly.
"We should try for an Amelia, so that Amelie won't feel lonely." The blonde whispered into your ear.
You only smiled genuinely before throwing yourself on him, crashing onto the sofa and claiming his lips.
Amelie would have to wait at Nanny's for a while.

"_______, are you having a nice time on this trip?" Ludwig asks, looking down at you. You nod with a content smile on your face.
"Yeah! I can't wait to go to Tokyo."
You watch the lively people of Japan pass back and forth. A mother tending to her crying baby. A man reading a newspaper on the bench. Two young children giggling, one chasing after the other. An older sibling scolds them, but you can't understand what she's saying. You love the busy hustle and bustle of the train station.
You and Ludwig are in Japan to visit a close friend, Kiku. You can barely hold your excitement in. You're in a different country! It's definitely exhilarati

"I really like you, (Y/n). Whether you like me or not, my feelings aren't going to change."
The smile curled on his face as he spoke was so precious, you weren't sure if you should allow yourself to continue to stare, or reply to his words. After a moment of silence, he spoke again.
"And if you want to be with anyone other than me, that's fine," He shrugged before extending his arms, his fingers brushing against your forearms. "I just want you to be happy. It'd be nice to be with you, sure, but I just want you to be happy."
You lifted your arms from your sides and took a step forward. Taking the opportunity, he gathered you in his arms.
